Healing Tao of Cincinnati's new logo!

I wanted to take a moment to thank Ryan Little for designing the new logo for Healing Tao of Cincinnati.
I am very happy with it and hope you like it too. :)
Here's an explanantion of the symbolism behind it.
The four side petals along with the middle fifth stand for the five elements along with the five upper circles.
The five petals are moving together in constant flux between yin and yang towards the middle where a pearl lies rising from the confluence of the five elements. The five come together merging to help form a  complete seed or pearl in the middle which stands for the completely self realized or individualized soul, the true authentic self.
This idea is enclosed within a circle which stand for perfect harmony, balance and the Tao.
There is also the top and bottom middle pearl which to me symbolizes the heart and dan tien (gut) energy centers, Two of the more important energy centers in a human body.
The very middle of the flower is reminiscent of a bud blossoming as well to show the potential for a human to blossom into the best possible potential known by themselves.
there is more sybology there as well and will probably unfold as time goes by.
Please let me know what you think or see. :)
new logo!
Thanks all! :)

Welcome Spring! Wood and the Deer

Here is the I ching ( Yiching) reading courtesy of Stephen Karcher for this equinox time period. Thanks to Karin Sorvik for sharing!

Old character

Hexagram 13 (March 16-21))
Harmonizing People, Tong Ren
The old characters show a gate, a person kneeling, a mouth and the graph for One, speaking with one voice. This harmonizing is the inner ground that will let your great ideas emerge and shine

You are faced with a task you cannot do alone. Seek harmony with all the people involved in this project. Find places of agreement where goals can be shared. Develop group spirit and a bond of common understanding. This brings mutual advantage in the end. This is the right time to embark on a significant enterprise!
 Line 5 Outer Center:
Harmonizing People first cry and sob and then they laugh. Great Leaders meet and mutualize their power.

This is the crossing to the spring festival and a real connection between people. There is often loneliness and separation involved in this passage, but work your way through the tears and the joy will soon be there. Everything you encounter will conspire to help you. This inner re-grouping lets your real purpose shine.
The combined energy of the Spring (expansive wood energy pushing through soil and rock) combined with the Water Dragon year is working together to push me in a forward direction! Luckily I have my ducks in a row! Hang on to your hats folks ...this season could be a bumpy ride. For those of you ready for change it's time to go ahead and do it, perfect timing! For those not you'll be dragged along anyways! Are there changes that you've been putting off? This is the time to do it. Harness that double whammy and surf the tidal wave! Ride the dragon!

Fusion 1 weekend

I had a wonderful weekend learning Fusion level 1!
This practice is also known as Taoist Depth Psychology. It's practice designed to help you understand where you emotions are, how to claim them, then love them, transforming the unwanted emotions into usable neutral (yuan) chi. Once you have done this you can use the energy for healing, vitality and most importantly it starts you on the path to harmonizing the disparate spirits in your body  in order to claim control of your soul's true purpose! It's like making a plan to get all the forces together that you have at your disposal to take final and control of your life. No more running away from anger or fear or sadness (that's the goal at least) but it takes work and conscious action.
I loved learning how to "eat" debilitating emotions and changing them into the virtues that we are all gifted with from birth.
The experience was wonderful and provoking and I am very excited to be teaching this in the future.
One realizes that you are responsible for the emotions that you let control you and gives you the power to take back control! Even if the feelings seem negative they are still part of us! If we understand this and claim them they can no longer trick us! The Dark side was created, after all, by us to protect us adapt and survive our individual struggles in life. and help us I encourage you to acknowledge then thank this part of you and invite it to help you create a better life. A whole body, mind and spirit (jing, chi, shen) moving in harmony ever forward determining your own true destiny.

The Healing Tao at the Victory of Light! April 21 Saturday at 2pm

I'm very excited to let you know that I will be hosting a free seminar on the Healing Tao at the Victory of Light Expo coming in April! I love this festival and have learned  many good things from it throughout the years, so needless to say I am very honored to be a part. Just to let some of you know who might be attending my seminar. I will be talking very briefly about the Healing Tao, the tradition of inner alchemy and then teaching the attendees a simple Taoist meditation called the Inner Smile. This is a great meditation to help balance the emotions, a simple way to recycle the emotional garbage we accumulate in our lives and turn it into beneficial energy (also called chi) that will renew you and give you new vitality! Learn the beginning steps to achieving immortality in this lifetime and gain a new found appreciation for your inner world of the body and the outer world of nature. Magical and practical, logical and effective this practice is doable in our busy modern world.
Please email me if you have any questions!!! I'd love to help you understand more about the Healing Tao
